Wind is air which moves at high speed. Blowing air possesses kinetic  energy. If anyone asks  that what is kinetic energy then answer is it is the kinetic energy that is in the wind.Air  is caused by the earth.Sun provides heat to the whole earth. The earth's surface is  different at different places so heat is retained by the different parts of the earth is  uneven.
If any particular area gets too hot, That's mean air of that area becomes hot as well.Since  early times people are using wind energy.Windmills were used extensively in food production  in the persian and surroundings in the middle east. Windmills are used to tap the power of  wind.This is the old way to tap the energy that has been used since early ages. Traditionally there are many uses of  wind mills that traps the power of wind.To grind corn and grain mostly people use  windmills.To draw water people or farmers used it.In the rural environment wind power is  great/sustainable for us.To provide the basic support for the whole village sufficient big  windmills have been installed.like drawind wate for irrigation and other purposes.In the  modren age the most common way to tackle wind energy is to use windmills that connected to  the generator.this type of green energy is used to generate electricity.Then this  electricity is supplied to all those who want it.It is also possible that we can store  electricity in the battries.Then you can use it at the time of need.Lot of people are still  using windmill know that the reason of there success is that they know  what is wind energy  how can we produce this kind of energy how can we use it.They have learned it themselves and  taught to the people.
Wind energy is mostly used in those areas where other facilities are less. It is mostly used  on the small islands. In 2014 Germany was the biggest user of the wind energy.Germany had  39,165 megawatts of wind power capacity  10% of the global total. And China is the second biggest  user of the wind energy.The advantage of wind energy is that it does not harm the environment.It  is environment friendly.So use wind energy to save your planet from harms.
